The Mission
The mission of Oakes Test Prep is to help students become self-actualized. No matter the test, the individual student will be instructed to help them to achieve their potential.
How does Oakes Test Prep achieve this goal? By utilizing innovative and proven methods for increasing test scores. The methods are innovative, because they have been developed through several years of research with thousands of students, and proven, because of the success of students on the standardized tests. Oakes Test Prep will encourage students and incorporate the use of technology and many other methods of instruction.
Results
We offer the Oakes Scholars Program for current 9th and 10th grade students to help increase test scores for Governor's School, other special programs, and gain a competitive advantage for college. The Oakes Scholars Program also assists students to compete in the National Merit Scholarship Competition and helps to enhance scholarship and college credentials. Groups of Oakes Scholars have improved by as much as 270 points from PSAT to SAT with final group averages as high as 1470.

Virginia students from the following areas have improved their scores with Oakes Test Prep including Forest, Lynchburg, Bedford, Roanoke, Richmond, Farmville, Covington and the counties of Amherst, Altavista, Appomattox, Farmville, Covington, , and Campbell County.
